ADMISSIONS
The admission process for the first year degree begins after the announcement of the II year PUC results. The admission will be made under the guidelines and rules framed by the Kuvempu University and Reservation facilities as per the Government of Karnataka.

D.V.S High school, Vinobanagara, Shimoga was started in 1984 Initially 8th ,9th and 10th standards were started in kannada medium. During this time there was on other schools in vinobanagara except DVS. Now this school is running in its 32nd year with it wide playground and beautiful building. In the year 1999, because of the pressure from students, parents and vinobanagara locality one more high school in English medium was started in the same building.
The slow learners who scored very low marks in 7th std were given extra training after school hours providing them full exam materials and there by assisting to pass the SSLC exam with first class for the first time.
In the 2007-08 academic year our school (English Medium) branch secured 91.43% in the SSLC Examination. It was the great achievement in Shimoga district. So Shivamoga Zill Panchayat and the Dep, of Public Instruction honoured our school as ‘Best School’ in that year.
